Creek Bank Stabilization Project

We are restoring degraded riverbanks to combat erosion and improve water quality. Using seven varieties of native willows from our Mother Garden, we employ bioengineering techniques to anchor soil and create resilient riparian buffers.

Project Goals

  • Stabilize eroding riverbanks
  • Improve water quality
  • Enhance aquatic habitats
  • Create a model for community-led restoration

Implementation

This project, developed with local partners, protects waterways and enhances aquatic habitats. We use bioengineering techniques with native willows to create natural, sustainable solutions for bank stabilization.

Impact

The project serves as a model for community-led restoration, demonstrating how natural solutions can effectively address erosion while supporting local ecosystems.
